The purpose of this portfolio is to highlight some of the innovative ways people are using technology in their everyday life.
Component One is some research I was curious about regarding DIY solar panels. I learned a lot of cool ways to generate some voltage without spending copious amounts of money. I'm excited to implement one of these designs for the portable solar chargers I'm building.
Component Two is my favorite component. I decided to build portable solar chargers. I think this concept is likely one of the creations I will use in my everyday life. I can think of many times where I didn't have access to a power source but needed to charge my phone. Having a solar USB charger can charge our phones without the need to be stationary or locked inside.
Component Three is footage taken from a drone. The purpose is to locate fires, simulating something that could be done out west where locating and tracking fires is crucial for stopping a fire's spread.
Component Four is an interview I had with my cousin who works for Tesla. I wanted to get an inside look at what exactly he does there and what his goals for the future are with Tesla.
Component Five is an essay relating to biomimicry. There are many benefits to creating technology that is inspired by nature. I wanted to highlight some of the developments regarding biomimicry and persuade people who might not know about biomimicry or want to know more.
